Payment terms, based on agreed quotation: 50% Build Deposit on order confirmation, 25% at deck level, 25% on completion, prior to boat collection.
Prices quoted are valid for 30 days from the stated date.
Prices quoted are per boat package.
Any delay in Confirmation Payment may affect agreed due dates, specified item availability or pricing, which may result in the necessity to replace items for similar specification alternatives and / or revised quotation.
Prices quoted are Ex-Works, based on collection of boat from Ribcraft factory in Yeovil. Shipping, transportation and loading of the boat are NOT included unless otherwise quoted.
Sea trial, boat loading, crane lifting and fuel are NOT included unless otherwise quoted.
Prices quoted are exclusive of all government charges and duties, unless specifically agreed to otherwise in writing.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, all invoices shall be settled in full, without any deductions or withholding, within 14 days of the invoice being sent via email.
Delayed payment of a Stage Payment within 14 days of the invoice being submitted via email may result in work stopping on the associated boat.
Delayed payment of a Stage Payment or Completion Payment within 14 days of the invoice being submitted via email may result in work stopping on the associated boat. Any delay beyond 14 days may also result in interest being charged at 1% of the amount outstanding from the overdue date per day.
Ribcraft reserves the right to replace specified quotation items with similar specification alternatives due to supply or delivery issues which are out of their control.
Specifications of the boats are subject to change by the manufacturer. Unless otherwise agreed, the boats are supplied in accordance with the manufacturer’s standard specifications.
Any requests for changes / modifications in the design/ scope may result in a variation in the original quotation and proposed hand-over date. If the requested changes / modifications are agreed as possible then confirmation requires payment in full of variation to quotation.
Any requests for cancellation of order, reduction in specification or removal of items will only be considered should design, production or procure- ment have not already commenced.
If there is any inconsistency between the drawings and plans on the one hand and the RFTO Specification on the other, the RFTO Specification shall prevail.
NOTE: Although Electronics units usually have the capacity for many features such as Radar, AIS and Side View sonar, Unless the sensor (Radar Dome, AIS Unit, Applicable transducer etc) is in the specification, this feature is not available.
Ribcraft cannot accept responsibility for the selection / choice / confirmation of electronic equipment which is not of the specification required or does not include the functionality expected / required.
Boat Covers are measured to be specific to each boat for a precise fit. The Cover can only be measured upon completion of the boat and therefore the Covers are normally sent separately after the hand-over of the boat itself, unless confirmation of preference for the boat delivery is delayed to allow hand-over together.
Any specific request for direct supply of items by the Purchaser, as opposed to via Ribcraft, must be made at the outset in the quotation process. Ribcraft will subsequently provide a specific date for the delivery to the Purchaser to provide the items to align with the boat build.
Any delay in: payments, providing requested information, supply of items / equipment by yourself / your select third party may result in a delay in the hand-over of the boat; the associated hand-over delay may exceed the original delay in the number of days due to potential boat build rescheduling.
Certification to UK commercial standards is optional, Ribcraft can arrange this at extra cost and provide the necessary access and information to the certifying authority. If standards are to be applied, clients must make this clear before the build commences and associated costs will be charged.
Upon notification that your boat has been completed there is a period of 7 days to collect the finished boat or to confirm the delivery location, should this have been agreed. After 7 days, Ribcraft will be entitled to charge GBP 50 per day for storage and insurance.
If a sea trial has been requested then the sea trial should be scheduled within 7 days of the date when the boat has been stated as completed. Any delay in the sea trial beyond 7 days will be subject to the above terms of GBP 50 per day for storage.
Ribcraft cannot be held liable for delays when the cause, including COVID 19 (both directly and indirectly), is beyond Ribcraft’s reasonable control.
Ribcraft cannot be held liable in connection with transportation or shipment of the boat/ products.
Questions, concerns or warranty issues should be raised immediately upon being identified.
Warranty issues are strictly on a return to base. Transportation of the boat to Ribcraft facility and return will be at Customer’s risk and expense.
